Discovery Kids: Colors and Rainbows (grades K-4)

Wednesday, March 134:30—5:30 PMMeeting Room Lower LevelBillerica Public Library15 Concord Road, Billerica, MA, 01821

Join us for 'DISCOVERY KIDS', our series of afterschool, interactive, enrichment programs for children grades K-4, which expose kids to the wonders of our scientific and natural world.

Join Steve Lechner of The Science Works for this exciting program on colors and rainbows!   The colors that make up a rainbow can create unique and startling effects. In this workshop we will experiment with those colors and more...as long as Mr. Steve can remember them all! We'll make rainbows with water, rainbows with markers, rainbows with light, and maybe even make a little tiny rainbow viewer to take home, which will make rainbows appear anytime you want one!

Required online registration starts Monday, February 12 at 9:00 a.m.

NOTE:  Children traditionally will go into the program without their parents/caregivers.   HOWEVER, FOR THIS PROGRAM, AT THE PERFORMER'S REQUEST, CAREGIVERS PLEASE BE PREPARED THAT YOU MAY BE REQUESTED TO COME IN TO THE PROGRAM TO HELP OUT WITH THE HANDS-ON COMPONENT.  ALSO, CHILDREN ARE EXPECTED TO BE ABLE TO SIT POLITELY AND INDEPENDENTLY DURING THE PRESENTATION.  ANY INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR MAY RESULT IN THE CAREGIVER HAVING TO SIT WITH THE CHILD.

This program is funded by the Family Friends of the Billerica Public Library.

Registration for this event has now closed.
