Teen Program -- Bad Art Contest

Friday, July 23All DayHome ActivityBillerica Public Library15 Concord Road, Billerica, MA, 01821

Grab your sense of humor and participate in this no pressure art contest!  We want you to do your "best" bad work of art.  We are challenging students in grades 5-12 to create any version of a "Library Dragon" using, but not limited to the few supplies that we give you. Why a dragon?  Why not? Dragons tend to have a significant place in many teen fantasy novels as well as children's books.  How cool would it be to have a library filled with reading dragons.   Do you have what it takes to turn a bag of "junk" into a work of bad "art"?  WIN PRIZES! Bring out your inner bad artist!

Register, then stop by the library to pick up a free starter kit to bring home and create.  Space is limited.  You have until August 9th to submit your finished piece of art.  Click here to register

Grades 5-12

Your entries will be placed on display throughout the main floor of the library at the end of August.   Judging will begin the first week of September.  Prizes will be awarded based on the number of entries submitted and grade levels.

This program is sponsored by a grant from the Billerica Cultural Council, a local agency that is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
