We all need a good laugh, and this interactive hour does just that. Bring your jokes, funny stories and creativity to this presentation on using humor to have fun, reduce anxiety, and press your emotional reset button. Laughter will reduce your stress, improve your outlook, and lead to better quality of life. As a college professor, writer and professional stand-up comedian, Dave Rattigan has been making people laugh for three decades in the classroom and on Sirius Satellite Radio as well as live comedy clubs. He’s also worked in less traditional venues like hospitals, libraries, a parking lot, warehouses, business lobbies, gazebos and lots of other places he’d like to forget. He has used humor to diffuse tense situations and deal better with stress. Dave uses his stand-up material to lighten the mood, reviews the benefits of a good laugh, and then leads the group through simple improv, funny stories, shared jokes and other exercises to create an always-fun comedy experience.

This program is brought to you with federal funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
