Virtual Young Adult Program - Maori Art Painting

Monday, July 273:00—4:15 PMZoom ConferenceOffsiteSee program description for location, Billerica, MA, 01821

Zoom on in and learn how to paint a Maori painting with professional artist Sherry Hoffman.  Why Maori art?  It fits the summer reading theme Oceania!

The Māori are the indigenous Polynesian people of mainland New Zealand. They originated with settlers from eastern Polynesia, who arrived in New Zealand in several waves of waka (canoe) voyages roughly between 1320 and 1350. Over several centuries in isolation, these settlers developed their own distinctive culture, language, mythology, and crafts.
